Nurse Practitioner, Short-Term Care Unit

Job Summary:
Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Short-Term Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying and prioritizing patient needs, and developing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring clear and respectful communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
