Wet Processing Technician

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Under the supervision of the Wet Process Crew Supervisor, the Wet Plant Operator Level 1 is tasked with ensuring the delivery of high-quality concentrate in a manner that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute all tasks satisfactorily as directed by the Supervisor or senior personnel.
• Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or potential safety hazards to the Supervisor or senior staff.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of the plant as required and directed by senior staff.
• Maintain a tidy and organized work environment.
• Exhibit a positive and attentive demeanor representing GMA Mining USA.
• Foster a cooperative and respectful relationship with fellow employees.
• Conduct workplace inspections, Take-5's, and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) prior to commencing work.
• Promptly inform the Leading Hand, Supervisor, or senior staff of any issues related to product quality or equipment that may impact the quality or productivity of GMA Mining USA's operations.
• Take accountability for personal health and safety as well as that of colleagues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
• Passing a respirator fit test and wearing a respirator when necessary is required.
• Frequent exposure to noisy conditions.
• Regular exposure to wet environments.
• The work schedule consists of rotating 12-hour shifts (630am-630pm M-Th followed by 630pm-630am M-W), subject to change based on production requirements as determined by the Supervisor and Manager.
• Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.

Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. • Completion of Wet Process Operator Training.
• Conduct thorough walkthroughs of the plant to understand operational sounds, observations, and potential issues.
• Establish a routine for regular inspections.
• Identify and report any problems within the plant to the responsible personnel.
• Relieve loader or plant operators as necessary, based on competency.
• Add processing materials to the plant as required, utilizing a respirator due to fine dust exposure.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and sound judgment in all tasks.
• Maintain consistent work quality and performance with a positive attitude.
• Exhibit attention to detail in all responsibilities.
• Effectively follow instructions and manage work time efficiently.
• Possess an aptitude for machinery operation and maintenance.

• Exhibit reliable attendance and punctuality.
