Principal Satellite Ground Systems Planning and Scheduling Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Satellite Ground Systems Planning and Scheduling Software Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Satellite Ground Systems Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our satellite systems.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and schedule tasks for satellite ground systems, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for satellite ground systems, utilizing Java and Linux.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver reliable and high-performance software solutions.
- Work in a systems Model Based Systems Engineering Architecture (MBSE) role, ensuring seamless integration of software components.
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and system integration activities to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Contribute to the completion of program and project milestones, working closely with the immediate supervisor.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience working with planning and scheduling of satellites using ground systems.
- Experience in systems engineering related to Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and architecture.
- Software development experience using Java in both Windows and Linux.
- Agile software development experience.
- Cyber Security experience.
- Experience with software automated test tools such as Eggplant (or equivalent).
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Nine (9) years experience within the GPS OCX enterprise.
- Experience working external interface development and integration efforts, algorithm design, display designs, and working both front end and back end software products.
- Experience using Cameo Enterprise for large-scale programs.
- Experience using the Atlassian tool suite.
- Software development technical leadership experience.
- Superb interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of inter-software messaging busses and software frameworks.
