Position Summary:

Allied Universal® Technology Services is actively seeking an Installation Technician II. This role involves the installation of electronic control systems, which may encompass door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, and fire alarm systems. Responsibilities include cable management, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and related hardware. The ideal candidate will be proactive, skilled, and consistently uphold the core values of Allied Universal® Technology Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to client locations using a company vehicle to execute system installations and verify operational effectiveness in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise clients, including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and low-voltage communication systems.
  • Troubleshoot newly installed security systems to ensure compliance with operational standards and codes.
  • Perform electrical wiring tasks, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
  • Connect control panels, meet application requirements, ensure wire concealment, and install security software.
  • Oversee Installation Technician I's on-site as directed by the Installation Manager.
  • Complete various tasks as assigned, including job-site maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Valid State Driver's License with a minimum of one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to operate a vehicle safely.
  • Experience with commercial electronic security systems such as AMAG, Lenel, S2, Genetec, Software House, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Avigilon, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in the physical security, fire systems/alarm, or low-voltage communication sectors, focusing on installing field devices, programming systems, and managing small projects.
  • Availability for on-call duties on a rotational basis.
  • High School Diploma, Vocational School, or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Capability to complete time entries remotely via the Internet.
  • Ability to conduct product familiarization training for end-users.
