Job Summary

The City of Hermosa Beach Isai is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Recreation Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Recreation Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and implementation of recreational programs and services for the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of Recreation Coordinators and part-time staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality recreational programs and services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective management of recreational facilities and programs.
  • Collaborate with community groups and organizations to develop and implement recreational programs and services that meet the needs of the community.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective use of departmental funds.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time experience in recreation or a related field, with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid Class C California Driver's License with a safe driving record.
Working Conditions

The Senior Recreation Supervisor will work in a standard office environment and at indoor and outdoor recreational facilities. The incumbent may be exposed to inclement weather conditions and may be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
