Colliers Engineering & Design is in search of a skilled Assistant Project Manager to become a vital part of our Water Resources Division. This role will emphasize hydrology and hydraulics modeling, stormwater management design, Flood Hazard Area assessments, and Dam Safety Permitting.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and support stormwater management initiatives with an emphasis on sustainable infrastructure and low impact development.
- Execute hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations.
- Design Stormwater Management Best Management Practices (BMPs).
- Develop Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).
- Conduct water quality compliance assessments.
- Address soil erosion and sediment control measures.
- Perform flood risk assessments utilizing HEC-RAS and USEPA-SWMM methodologies.
- Evaluate and design dam rehabilitation projects.
- Conduct dam breach evaluations and hazard classifications.
- Provide engineering and technical assistance to other departments.
- Draft comprehensive reports and proposals.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is advantageous.
- Familiarity with state regulations, particularly in New Jersey.
- Expertise in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, and site development design.
- Proficient in Civil 3D software.
- Exceptional communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
