Job Title: Government Affairs Compliance

Gateway Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Government Affairs Compliance professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with existing and emerging lobbying transparency regulations in various jurisdictions globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all lobbying activities and reporting obligations adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Aggregating, maintaining, and submitting accurate and timely lobbying reports in compliance with relevant laws and rules for US Federal, US States, Canada, EMEA, ASIA, GCA, and LATAM.
  • Manage outside firms/consultants to ensure efficient data collection, aggregation, and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze new and existing lobbying and transparency laws and regulations.
  • Manage the Political Action Committee for New Health Care Company:
    • Day-to-day management of the political action committee of the new healthcare company in the United States.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with members of Congress, relevant staff, and professional fundraisers, as necessary, including preparation of solicitation materials, member correspondence, and applicable in-person events.
    • Monitor and update the new healthcare company PAC website as appropriate including US Federal Elections.
    • Accurately prepare and file monthly FEC and assigned Lobbying Disclosure reports on a timely basis.
    • Establish proficiency in PAC-related data entry (processing of receipts/disbursements, etc.).
    • Oversight and management of the new healthcare company's PAC Board.
Qualifications:
  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
    • Seven (7+) years of experience in compliance administration or with Government Affairs consultants/law firms.
  • Preferred:
    • Healthcare experience.
    • Strong working knowledge of administration of laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards for covering lobbying compliance and lobbying disclosure on all levels of government for the US, with the ability to oversee OUS requirements.
    • Experience in managing outside counsel, consultants, and budgets.
    • Experience and knowledge of how governments at all levels work or with specialized consultants or law firms in lobby compliance.

This role requires the ability to effectively build consensus, engage, inspire, and influence a wide range of stakeholders. A global perspective and the ability to understand the implications of legislative and policy proposals on the global marketplace are essential.
