Physician Opportunity in Hospice Care

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Practice Physician to provide inpatient care to a limited population of patients in need of a caring and comforting physician in their greatest time of need.
Our state-of-the-art hospice in-patient facility is staffed by a dedicated team of nurses, physicians, therapists, social workers, counselors, aides, and volunteers.
The average patient census is patients per day, with a maximum census of 18. Coverage needs will require working 3 days per week, Monday through Friday, and telephonic call on weekends.
This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient care to patients in need of hospice services
- Collaborate with the hospice team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and plan
- Document patient care and progress in accordance with facility policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Board certification in Family Practice or related specialty
- Current licensure in the state of Ohio
- Experience in hospice care or palliative medicine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
