Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance, including federal, state, local, and international tax returns.
  • Prepare and review tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
  • Manage partnership tax compliance, including the preparation and review of partnership tax returns and K-1s.
  • Provide expert advice on tax matters to clients and internal teams, including tax planning, tax compliance, and tax strategy.
  • Identify and implement tax planning opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and risks.
  • Stay abreast of current tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
  • Manage and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a CPA designation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager role, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in tax provisions, partnership tax compliance, tax compliance, and tax preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and other relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex tax matters to non-tax professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
