Position Overview:

At Lockheed Martin, we are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our AMMM Development/Production Project Engineering team. This role will support various aircraft platforms, including C-130, C-5, and P-3, across multiple support contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing a diverse portfolio of complex system and technical development projects from initial concept through design, implementation, testing, manufacturing, deployment, sustainment, and modifications.
  • Ensuring alignment with Engineering and Technology strategies while managing technical feasibility and associated risks.
  • Facilitating planning and execution across all Engineering Teams to achieve contract cost, schedule, and technical requirements, thereby meeting customer expectations.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for program management and senior leadership regarding program execution.
  • Developing innovative and scalable standardized processes to enhance agility and flexibility.

Must be a US Citizen, as this position is located at a facility requiring special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in aircraft design, testing, integration, or sustainment environments.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with engineering principles.
Desired Skills:

  • Background in Software, Systems, or Aircraft.
  • Familiarity with ServiceFLO.
  • Knowledge of EVMS or Cost/Schedule Principles.
  • Experience in Proposal Development / APTS.
  • Understanding of Contract Language.
  • Skills in Technical Supplier/Sub-Contract Management and Integration.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Risk/Opportunity Identification.
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Security Clearance:

This position requires a government security clearance; therefore, you must be a US Citizen to be considered.

Work Schedule:

This role offers a part-time remote work option, with a specific weekly schedule to be discussed during the hiring process. Lockheed Martin supports various alternate work schedules, providing additional flexibility for employees.
