Non-Ferrous Buyer Job Description

As a vital member of the Metro Group family, we cater to a diverse clientele, ranging from individuals with small metal collections to large businesses with significant material needs. We are currently seeking a Non-Ferrous Buyer to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in unloading non-ferrous scrap materials
  • Sort and classify different types of metals
  • Exhibit patience and professionalism in interactions with customers and team members
  • Ensure cleanliness during non-peak hours
  • Be adaptable and ready to assist with various tasks as required
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate protective equipment

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Experience in operating forklifts
  • Steel-toed footwear is mandatory
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to perform a variety of physical tasks
  • Occasional lifting of materials weighing up to 50 lbs
