Job Summary:

We are looking for a results-driven Executive Director of Operations to lead our team and drive business success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams in scrap yard or warehouse operations, with experience in the scrap metal industry and a strong understanding of heavy equipment operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the facility, including Ferrous, Non-Ferrous Processing, Transportation, and Administrative departments.
  • Inspire a winning team by supervising, motivating, and managing a team of 15-20 employees while promoting a culture of safety and exceptional customer service.
  • Drive business success by developing and implementing growth strategies that align with company goals, ensuring maximum operational efficiency.
  • Manage transportation scheduling and ensure timely preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Achieve production goals for material recovery, quality, and volume processed.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as payroll approvals and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead teams in scrap yard or warehouse operations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the scrap metal industry is a huge plus.
  • Problem Solver: Skilled in resolving conflicts and making sound operational decisions.
  • Heavy Equipment Savvy: Experience with frontend loaders, skid-steers, excavators, and forklifts is a bonus.
  • Motivated Leader: A self-starter who is passionate about safety, growth, and customer service.
