We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Central District Health. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting healthy communities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct client care for acute and chronic illness and disease, assessing, diagnosing, planning, and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, therapeutic and corrective measures, and health promotion and preventive care. You will work in a public health clinical environment, requiring sound clinical judgment and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct client care for acute and chronic illness and disease
  • Assesses, diagnoses, plans, and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments
  • Works with internal team to assess clinical workflows to improve efficiencies
  • May require occasional travel to satellite clinics in Mountain Home and McCall to serve rural counties
  • Provides routine services to Ada County Juvenile Detention and Ada County Jail residents
  • Participates in additional assigned projects as needed
Requirements:
  • Eligibility for registration as Physician Assistant with the Board of Medicine or Nurse Practitioner with the Board of Nursing
  • Ability to work in a public health clinical environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead a clinical team
