Job Title: Mechanical Systems Specialist

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Specialist to support the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems for DHA hospitals and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and services for mechanical building infrastructure systems.
  • Ensure facility systems are designed, installed, operated efficiently, and maintained as needed to meet facility safe and efficient operational requirements.
  • Perform functional testing and commissioning for government acceptance of systems delivered through point-by-point verification of design, installation, functionality, and performance of existing and newly installed mechanical infrastructure equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical advice on compliance and quality management to Facilities Enterprise Engineering Branch in the maintenance and repair of building mechanical systems.
  • Evaluate proposed projects and technical solutions based on need, code compliance, effectiveness, and life cycle cost.
  • Answer technical Requests for Information (RFIs) in accordance with codes, regulations, and DHA policy and procedures.
  • Travel to sites to investigate open requirement packages and conduct detailed inspections of existing conditions of equipment, evaluate the effectiveness of current maintenance procedures, and confirm the use of correct operational practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years as a Mechanical Engineer supporting large federal facilities.
  • Ability to develop estimates and recommend repairs and optimizations.
