Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Procurement Operations Associate for our Regional Operations team. In this role, you will leverage your procurement expertise to implement best practices and strategies within Global Procurement Services. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to address challenges and ensure exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact, navigating between strategic, operational, and transactional procurement.
- Oversee the global Source to Pay process.
- Execute category strategies under the guidance of strategic category leaders.
- Manage contract processes utilizing a Contract Technology Platform.
- Develop catalog strategies within a Catalog Technology Platform.
- Assist in supplier selection and manage related documentation.
- Conduct ad-hoc purchasing as needed.
- Promote existing solutions and facilitate the development of performance and technology tools.
- Drive continuous enhancement of global procurement processes and tools.
- Champion change initiatives within the Regional Procurement Operations and Source to Pay Technology platform.
- Lead resolution efforts for issues related to Source to Pay technology improvements.
- Foster supplier integration and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with various functions, divisions, and global procurement teams.
- Create and implement Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Monitor and drive Key Performance Indicators and Value Metrics.
- Engage in routine professional activities and contribute to project management.
- Communicate with relevant departments to clarify requests and gather necessary documentation for purchases.
- Implement global purchasing strategies for specific categories.
- Build and maintain relationships with diverse suppliers worldwide.
- Regularly meet with divisional customers to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement.
- Exhibit cultural sensitivity when engaging with international business partners.
- Seek innovative approaches to enhance procurement processes, reduce acquisition costs, and improve customer service levels.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or Finance.
- 0-3 years of experience in Procurement.
- Understanding of the Source to Pay process.
Preferred:
- Functional experience in procurement.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and proficient in spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective networking and influence capabilities.
- Familiarity with Source to Pay technology.
