Head Lifeguard

The Head Lifeguard position is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and team members in and around the pool area. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will provide direction and leadership to lifeguards on shift, enforcing pool rules and regulations to prevent injuries and minimize hazardous situations.

• Enforce all pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for guests.
• Provide effective leadership and direction to lifeguards on shift, ensuring they are aware of and comply with all safety protocols.
• Conduct regular surveillance of the pool area to identify potential hazards and take corrective action as needed.
• Ensure lifeguard staffing, coverage, and job duties are compliant with all required standards and regulations.
• Instruct guests of various ages in water safety and other aquatic programming.
• Assign cleaning duties and ensure the pool area is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
• Attend in-service training as scheduled to stay up-to-date on the latest safety protocols and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
• Assist with conducting aquatics safety audits and reporting.
• Assist with executing private events and special events.
• Supervise the daily cleaning and maintenance of all aquatic areas.
• Supervise chlorine and pH levels for the pools.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

• Current certification in Deep Water Lifeguard Training by the American Red Cross and First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification.
• Experience in customer service, leadership, and team building.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Work in outside weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from 80-105 degrees.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high.
• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, and squat, stoop, bend, carry, lift, pull, and push.
• Facility has intermittent noise.
• Will be required to use hands and fingers, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Will be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Will occasionally lift, pull, push and/or move heavy items.
