Job Summary

The Head Lifeguard position is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and team members in and around the pool area. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will provide direction and leadership to lifeguards on shift, enforcing pool rules and regulations to prevent injuries and minimize hazardous situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pool Safety and Surveillance: Provide effective surveillance of patrons in the pool area, enforcing pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Lifeguard Leadership: Provide direction and leadership to lifeguards on shift, ensuring they are aware of and comply with all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Instruct patrons of various ages in water safety and other aquatic programming, as well as provide training and development opportunities for lifeguards.
  • Event Support: Assist with the execution of private events and special events, ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and team members.
  • Facility Maintenance: Supervise the daily cleaning and maintenance of all aquatic areas, including the pool and surrounding facilities.
  • Chemical Management: Supervise the management of chlorine and pH levels in the pool, ensuring they are within safe and healthy ranges.
  • Guest Service: Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest concerns and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Current certification in Deep Water Lifeguard Training by the American Red Cross and First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards, or ability to complete training and earn certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience: Experience in customer service, leadership, and team building, with a strong focus on safety and risk management.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, with a focus on aquatic safety and management.
