Job Title: Flex Officer

Global Elite Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flex Officer to join our team at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

About the Role:

As a Flex Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our airport and its passengers. You will work closely with airport and government agencies to maintain compliance with local and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting actual or potential breaches of airport security
  • Maintaining all communication protocols in a professional and efficient manner
  • Alarm and emergency response, including communicating with necessary airport community stakeholders and first responders
  • Maintaining access control to secured areas within the airport
  • Verifying personal identification and access badges of individuals requesting entrance to secured areas
  • Vehicle inspection and access control in designated areas
  • Patrolling airside and landside areas of the airport, including parking lots, aviation department offices, and construction sites
  • Providing crowd control and interacting with the traveling public in a professional and courteous manner
  • Preparing written reports and records of all events, including discrepancies, security incidents, or breaches

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to drive company vehicles
  • At least three years of security experience at an airport or government facility
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to identify and manipulate power switches on inspection equipment, distinguish all colors displayed on such equipment, and explain what each color signifies
  • Must be able to hear and respond to audible alarms
  • Must be physically capable of performing the inspections required by the contract, with good dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Proficient in the use of radio and telephone communications equipment and procedures
  • Must meet local and state requirements to work as a security officer
  • Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand the English language
  • Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams as administered by Global Security and the client
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
