Job Title: Aviation Security Officer

Global Elite Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Security Officer to join our team at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport. As an Aviation Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our airport and its passengers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security patrols and inspections of airport facilities and equipment
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches
  • Verify personal identification and access badges of individuals requesting entrance to secured areas
  • Provide crowd control and interact with traveling public in a professional and courteous manner
  • Prepare written reports and records of all events, incidents, or breaches
Requirements:
  • At least three (3) years of security experience at an airport or government facility
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to identify and manipulate power switches on inspection equipment, distinguish all colors displayed on such equipment, and explain what each color signifies
  • Must be able to hear and respond to audible alarms
  • Must be physically capable of performing the inspections required by the contract, good dexterity and hand eye coordination is required, physical ability to handle and manipulate baggage and containers; physically capable of performing a pat-down or hand-held metal detector inspection of individuals and reaching all parts of the individual's body with one hand
  • Proficient in the use of radio and telephone communications equipment and procedures
  • Must meet local and state requirements to work as a security officer
  • Upon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
  • Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand the English language
  • Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams as administered by Global Security and the client
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
