Nursing Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The Nursing Manager is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of nursing triage are conducted in compliance with Access Community Health Centers (Access) policies, standards, and overall organizational plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services-Medical to oversee the role of the Registered Nurse staff in triage and care management delivery to Access patients.
  • Ensure a high-quality and satisfying patient experience, motivating and developing individuals and teams, using resources effectively, and efficiently.
  • Lead process improvement activities and work collaboratively with other site leaders to carry out Access' mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Managers at each site to provide adequate staffing levels, appropriate learning experiences, and a professional work environment.
  • Ensure event reports are completed and followed up with root cause analysis and process improvement, and manage patient complaints and behavior issues in conjunction with the Risk and Safety Team.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Current WI RN License and BLS.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years in a clinical leadership role, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
