Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees designated departments, ensuring all tasks are executed effectively.
  • Implements and maintains cleanliness, 5S methodologies, and ongoing improvement strategies.
  • Collaborates with the Production Scheduler to align production goals and identify any discrepancies.
  • Guarantees that teams adhere to established fabrication protocols and seeks enhancements to work efficiency.
  • Strategically plans labor and work processes to facilitate optimal execution.
  • Implements production schedules with a focus on safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Guides and evaluates the performance of area leads and team members.
  • Engages in the recruitment, training, and mentoring of new staff within the department.
  • Provides direction, supervision, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Initiates disciplinary measures when necessary, in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and communicates these effectively to production teams.
  • Maintains accurate documentation for all departmental projects.
  • Encourages open communication with employees to foster collaborative problem-solving.
  • Actively participates in safety initiatives, addressing unsafe behaviors promptly.
  • Ensures adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards within the department.
  • Coaches and monitors employee performance in relation to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong grasp of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Understanding of operational management and organizational effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with financial and business principles.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational skills.
