Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Nursery Stock Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for planting, transplanting, and maintaining nursery stock to ensure high-quality products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant and transplant nursery stock, ensuring proper spacing and care
  • Water, prune, and cull plants to maintain marketable products
  • Pack, label, and store plants according to variety
  • Load and unload trucks and wagons, handling products weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Perform other duties involved in the maintenance of plant materials and nursery stock

Requirements:

  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and communicate effectively
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive movements and extensive walking
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy pots with soil and plants weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed in a greenhouse and production area
  • May involve working with power equipment and machinery
  • Must wear assigned personal protective equipment when required
