Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Porter to join our team at Berry Global, Inc. As a Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, adhering to all regulatory and internal requirements. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, physical mobility, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure plant compliance with all regulatory and internal cleaning and sanitation requirements.
  • Accountable for personal adherence to all applicable Safety, GMP, Food Safety, and Plant Policies.
  • Complete a minimum of 2 Observation and 2 Near miss audits per month.
  • Observe all Safety precautions, GMP's and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
  • Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
  • Cleans equipment and facility as indicated on the Master Sanitation Schedule and complete and required paperwork.
  • Performs Regulatory cleaning duties.
  • Ability to move full chemical drums utilizing two wheel drum mover and any other material handling equipment.
  • Cleans work areas, tools, and equipment as needed and directed by Production Manager, Plant Director, or other members of management.
  • Assist in machine relocation and equipment moves throughout the facility.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.
Requirements
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
  • Capable of maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
  • Excellent attendance required.
  • Electrically and/or mechanically able to resolve basic issues.
  • Must be able to operate aerial lift performing tasks at elevated height.
  • Must be able to operate lift truck and attachments.
  • Education: GED or High School Diploma required.
