Job Title: Interventional Radiologic Technologist

Description:
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for technical administration and preparation of Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment, monitor inventory, and maintain cleanliness of procedure room and work area.
- Assist the Director and Supervisor(s) to ensure the safety guidelines and imaging equipment safety is in compliance for the department.
- Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self, utilizing all personal protective equipment.
- Operate all Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology equipment safely and maintain competency and proficiency with all equipment.
- Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner, explaining all procedures to the patient.
- Perform physical assessment by checking IV's, catheters, tubing, etc., and communicate and coordinate all Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology procedures with the appropriate caregivers.
- Utilize independent judgment and competence with regard to assisting the Cardiologist and Radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of patient care.
- Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited school for ARRT or CCI
- RT(R), RCIS or RCES
- BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA or CPR through the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS – 30 day grace period from start date
- Preferred- ARRT Certification - Cardiovascular/Interventional (CV, CI or VI)
- Minimum of two years working as an Interventional Radiology Technologist preferred
- PACS experience preferred
