Position Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Specialist to enhance our team. This role requires a high level of performance and a thorough understanding of invasive cardiovascular procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical administration and preparation for Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology procedures, including IR, US, CT, MRI, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology.
- Assisting management to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and imaging equipment protocols.
- Maintaining proficiency with all Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology equipment to ensure high-quality exams and images.
- Adhering to radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff.
- Performing necessary computer operations for procedural documentation and billing.
- Providing professional patient care, explaining procedures, and conducting physical assessments.
- Preparing equipment and maintaining cleanliness in the procedure room.
- Utilizing independent judgment in assisting medical professionals with patient care.
- Ensuring sterile techniques during invasive procedures and verifying technical accuracy of exams.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited program for ARRT or CCI.
- RT(R), RCIS, or RCES certification.
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers through AHA or CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current ACLS certification (30-day grace period from start date).
- Preferred: ARRT Certification in Cardiovascular/Interventional (CV, CI, or VI).
- Minimum of two years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist is preferred.
- PACS experience is preferred.
