About the Opportunity

Are you passionate about working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining high-quality ice surfaces? Do you have experience operating a Zamboni machine and maintaining ice surfaces? If so, we want to hear from you We are seeking a skilled Arena Operations Specialist to join our team at Connecticut College.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, demonstrated ability to operate a Zamboni machine, and experience running and maintaining a Zamboni machine. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, wear proper safety equipment, and ensure all work processes comply with OSHA requirements/regulations and college policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Operate the Zamboni machine to maintain ice conditions
- Maintain the ice surface; proactively seek potential ice surface problems and take appropriate measures to rectify any issues
- Maintain the Zamboni machine; empty ice debris after use and keep it ready for use at all times
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives

Requirements

- High school diploma and demonstrated ability to operate a Zamboni machine
- Experience running and maintaining a Zamboni machine
- Knowledge of power tools and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at moderate heights
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license required
- Knowledgeable of and comply with OSHA , EPA and other safety/health requirements

Salary Information

This role offers a competitive salary of $20.00 - $21.00 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for those looking to start their career in arena operations.
