Position Overview
This role involves providing exceptional service to our clients by managing control systems and products. You will be responsible for setting up, commissioning, and servicing low voltage HVAC Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain controls databases, graphics, and programming based on specifications from the Engineering team.
  • Conduct thorough controls start-up and commissioning, ensuring accurate point-to-point checks on assigned projects.
  • Assist installation teams on-site and provide necessary support to other contractors.
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges during both static and dynamic start-up phases.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to resolve complex building operation issues.
  • Contribute to project estimation, design, installation, and training processes.
  • Document start-up activities, including daily logs and commissioning reports.
  • Ensure timely backups of software and project data.
  • Provide ongoing service support for existing installations to meet occupancy codes.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in preparing submittal documents and operation manuals.
  • Facilitate the transition of projects from Operations to Service teams.
  • Support the Sales team during the estimating phase, including product demonstrations.
  • Travel within the service area, maintaining communication with dispatch to adhere to schedules.
  • Generate detailed service reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policy.
  • Understand customer needs and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
  • Proficient in using electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits and interpret system diagrams.
  • Understanding of AC circuitry and safety codes within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with building control systems such as Tridium, Honeywell Spyder, Alerton, and Distech.
  • Competence in configuring and resolving computer and network issues.
  • Experience in programming and HVAC operations.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and listening abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing demands.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other company software.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; two-year technical degree or apprenticeship in HVAC or Electronics preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in low voltage installation in controls or related systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift and carry equipment and materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods on construction sites.
  • Physically able to climb ladders and navigate various construction environments.
  • Must prioritize safety and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
