Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of senior nursing staff, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our patients.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and provide proactive management during shifts to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Supervise, counsel, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Stay flexible and adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Attend work regularly and adhere to assigned shift schedules to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assess patient health and mental status, and develop and implement therapeutic nursing care plans.
  • Coordinate staffing and patient care activities, addressing performance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Facilitate smooth admission and transfer processes to ensure efficient care delivery.
  • Implement medical staff orders and nursing interventions according to established standards and protocols.
  • Provide individual and group teaching to patients regarding medications, treatments, and self-care.
  • Ensure patient safety through proper precautions and restraint procedures.
  • Participate in client abuse and neglect processes, performance improvement teams, and other initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in patient care and support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in American Nurses Association Nursing Standards and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of the Nurse Practice Act and its application in patient care.
  • Strong supervisory and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate nursing staff.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and perform emergency care as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document patient care and communicate effectively with colleagues.
