Job Overview

The Construction Materials Technician II position requires a highly motivated individual to conduct field or laboratory testing, sampling, and/or inspection services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with dispatchers to ensure priorities and deadlines are met in both the field and laboratory.
  • Meet with supervisors of contractors, engineers, and other project leads on project sites to discuss and coordinate testing, sampling, or inspection of construction materials or construction procedures.
  • Ensure safe utilization, storage, and maintenance of all nuclear gages and field equipment following established protocols.
  • Communicate project progress and delays to supervisor and dispatcher.
  • Submit accurate and complete testing/inspection reports on a daily basis.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED certification preferred. Must have at least one year of applicable experience in the materials testing and inspection industry and possess one or more certifications such as NICET II or higher, ACI Field, TxDOT SB101, SB102, SB103, SB201, SB202, 1A, or 1B.
  • A sign-on bonus of $2000 will be offered to new hires with an NICET II or higher certification.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and meet Company's auto insurability requirements. Possess Troxler Manufacturing or equal radiation safety course to utilize nuclear gauges, Technician Training and Certification Program (TTCP) from the Texas State Highway and Transportation Department, or ability to complete within 6 months of employment.
