We are seeking a skilled Culinary Associate - Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Florida, USA. This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $45,000 per year.

About the Job

This role will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of related work experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. As a member of our culinary team, you will be part of a dynamic and inclusive environment that values teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  2. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  3. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  4. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  5. Prepare cold foods.
  6. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  7. Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  8. Monitor food quality while preparing food.
  9. Set-up and break down work station.
  10. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
  11. Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  12. Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  2. At least 1 year of related work experience.
