Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is a key role within our industrial, specialty, and medical distribution and gas filling operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a segment within a production location, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage gas cylinder processing, ultrasonic testing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure safe operation and troubleshooting of Acetylene plant/flammable plant operations and equipment.
  • Partner with other Plant Supervisors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assign tasks to workers based on customer needs, current stock levels, and worker expertise.
  • Implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Train new workers and cross-train employees to ensure continuity during personnel shortages.
  • Coordinate inventory levels of supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • High school degree/GED required; Associate's degree or technical degree/certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a distribution environment, preferably with compressed gases, gas analysis, and gas lab equipment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage metrics to improve production efficiency.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work Environment

The Production Supervisor will work in a fast-paced industrial environment with varying temperatures, loud noises, and odors. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
