About the Role

The Senior Project Manager is a key member of the Infrastructure division at Graham, a leading construction solutions partner. We are seeking an experienced construction professional to manage key relationships, supervise project teams, and ensure the successful delivery of projects in the transit and transportation sectors.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement Safety and Environmental programs on projects, in conjunction with the Safety expertise group.
  2. Administer the cost reporting system for all project components, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  3. Prepare and monitor project master schedules, in collaboration with the Project Management team.
  4. Coordinate and administer drawings, drawing records, revisions, site instructions, and change order processes.
  5. Negotiate and select subcontractors, ensuring their ability to perform, scope coverage, and best value.
  6. Prepare project execution plans in conjunction with the Superintendent.
  7. Identify and negotiate changes in project scope, ensuring timely and accurate communication with the owner.
  8. Review project production, cost, and schedule with the project staff on a regular basis, ensuring proactive issue resolution.
  9. Ensure updates, preparation, and distribution of bi-weekly schedules, and notify the manager of deviations in a timely manner.
  10. Review all project reporting, ensuring proper coding and cost allocation.
  11. _coordinate project closeout activities, including documentation, warranties, operation, and maintenance information.
  12. Administer and review daily, weekly, and monthly labor, equipment, material, and sub-trade costs.
  13. Contribute to estimating projects, including determining project scope, subcontractor selection, pre-award planning, and costing.
  14. Complete margin forecasts in the Projects program, and review with the Manager on a monthly basis.
  15. Review and approve change order pricing, when prepared by subordinates.
  16. Act to resolve disputes between the company and owner, or company and subcontractors, when possible, prior to Manager's involvement.
  17. Provide direction, coach, mentor, develop, review performance, and recommend advancement and dismissal of personnel reporting to the Senior Project Manager.
  18. Monitor and measure HSE goals and expectations using Key Performance Indicators.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Project Management and field.
  • Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of direct experience required, depending on the project size, scope, and complexity.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, project management processes, and Graham systems.
  • Ability to train project staff in all aspects of project requirements.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, InEight, Primavera P6, On-screen Takeoff, and Bluebeam is an asset.
