Job Title: Principal IT Analyst

The Principal IT Analyst plays a pivotal role in leading the design, implementation, and management of data systems that support business decision-making processes. This position involves collaborating closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership to ensure that data solutions align with business objectives.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of data models, reports, and dashboards to provide insights and drive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define key business metrics and translate them into actionable data insights.
  • Conduct complex data analysis to detect trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Data Systems Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and maintenance of data platforms, databases, and data warehouses.
  • Ensure high-quality data integration across multiple sources, including ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
  • Implement best practices for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and processing.
Data Quality

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and enforce data governance frameworks and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure data quality standards are maintained, including data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to protect data assets and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver data solutions that support business goals.
  • Communicate data insights and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership to influence strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, or data engineering roles
  • Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik)
  • Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex data projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Understanding of AI Tools and technologies
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Snowflake
  • Certification in data management, or related fields is a plus
