Key Responsibilities- Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Conduct thorough nursing health assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
- Advocate for Patients: Empower patients and families by educating them on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources.
- Develop and Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapies and interventions to promote mental wellness and recovery.
- Conduct Home Visits and Office-Based Care: Provide excellent care within the office and clients' homes, ensuring continuity of care and support.
- Education and Licensure: Graduation from an accredited nursing program and licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the District of Columbia.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in psychiatric nursing, with a strong preference for candidates with chronic disease management experience.
- Certifications: Current CPR Certification.
