Work as a Line Cook at Julington Creek Golf Club

We are seeking a part-time Line Cook to join our team at Julington Creek Golf Club in Saint Johns, Florida. This is an hourly position with a pay range of $16.00 per hour.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will prepare various pantry products for different food outlets within the club, including restaurants, banquet operations, snack bars, and beverage carts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform opening and closing checklists to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Refer to daily prep lists to understand assigned duties and tasks.
  • Prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking using grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain proper storage of food items and adhere to quality standards, portion sizes, and kitchen rules.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work stations, including tables, shelves, walls, grills, fryers, sauté burners, ranges, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Open the kitchen properly, follow opening checklists, and assist others in the process.
  • Report any equipment or food quality issues to department managers or supervisors promptly.
  • Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates should have a certificate from a college, technical school, or accredited facility, or 6-12 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience combination.

Physical Demands:

The successful candidate will regularly talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Close vision and distance vision are also essential for this role.
