About the Role

Chenega MIOS SBU is seeking a highly skilled CMDB Administrator to join our team. As a CMDB Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, management, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within our organization's ITIL framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • CMDB Development and Maintenance: Assist in ensuring that all IT assets and their configurations are accurately recorded, managed, and maintained to support IT service management processes.
  • CMDB Support: Support the development and maintenance of the CMDB, ensuring all IT assets and configuration items (CIs) are accurately recorded.
  • CMDB Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in defining and implementing CMDB policies, processes, and procedures in alignment with ITIL best practices.
  • CMDB Auditing and Compliance: Support the regular audit of the CMDB to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Document Management: Aid in the management of document relationships between CIs and ensure that all dependencies and changes are accurately reflected in the CMDB.
  • Change Management: Ensure proper version control and documentation of changes to CIs.
  • ITIL Process Integration: Assist in the coordination with other ITIL process managers to ensure smooth integration of configuration management processes.
  • Data Validation and Reconciliation: Conduct regular data validation and reconciliation activities to maintain the accuracy and completeness of the CMDB.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies in the CMDB data.
  • Automated Tool Implementation: Support in the implementation of automated tools for data discovery and CI tracking.
  • IT Service Management Support: Work closely with IT service management, change management, and incident management teams to ensure the CMDB supports their processes.
  • Asset Management Support: Collaborate with IT asset management teams to synchronize asset and configuration data.
  • Training and Support: Assist senior members in providing CMDB training and support to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze reports on CMDB data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • CMDB Optimization: Provide insights and recommendations based on CMDB data to optimize IT asset and configuration management.
  • CMDB Compliance: Assist in ensuring CMDB compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Participation: Participate in internal and external audits related to configuration management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or Associate's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or High School Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Certification: ITIL Foundations Certification desired.
  • Experience: Experience to include but not limited to: Development, management, and maintenance of CMDB, IT asset management, ITIL framework and its application to configuration management.
