Job Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist to help patients achieve their maximum physical potential.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Monitor patients' progress and report any changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and progress.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Completion of an Occupational Therapist Assistant course approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Nursing home experience.
  • Bilingual skills.
