Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize equipment uptime through a reliability-based maintenance program.
  • Repair equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic) in the least amount of time when broken.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment to avoid downtime.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of safety methods and procedures and work safely at all times.
  • Participate in root cause failure analysis troubleshooting on equipment and processes.
  • Welding, cutting, and fabricating.
  • Communicate regularly with maintenance and other departments regarding equipment status, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication across shifts/departments.
  • Complete work orders and parts usage accurately through maintenance management system.
  • All other job duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Certificate or diploma from a trade school in a related field is highly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Solid experience with repairs and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Has basic welding, cutting, acetylene torch, and braising capabilities.
  • Intermediate experience in PLC and electronic troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • Performs and understands basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $32.43 with increases up to $33.43
