Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Posillico Civil, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager/Executive in tracking and maintaining records associated with submittals, costs, deliveries, and payroll at the job site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver weekly safety briefings and maintain records
  • Maintain a retrievable filing system for hazardous communication programs and safety manuals
  • Track and record site safety inspections and injuries
  • Perform daily quantity reviews with the Superintendent and Job Foreman
  • Enter daily quantities into the system and file daily sheets
  • Track completion of work on project plans
  • Perform monthly reviews of estimates with the job Superintendent/Project Manager
  • Maintain files tracking extra work and notify the Project Manager or Division Manager of anticipated overruns/underruns
  • Submit monthly estimated payments with subcontractor payment sheets to Accounting upon approval from the owner
  • Review and approve material and supplier invoices for the project on a regular basis
Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering with 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience in heavy construction (site-work, roads, or environmental)
  • Ability to meet deadlines, self-motivated, detail-oriented, excellent interpersonal skills, and excellent follow-through capability
  • Weekend/nighttime work as required by the project
  • Verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
