Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled CDL Service Technician to join our team in installing and repairing propane tanks for both residential and commercial customers while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, an acceptable driving record, and the ability to lift up to 70lbs.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations in addition to all AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities:- Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
- Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
- Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
- On an as-needed basis, perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $28.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
Additional compensation includes eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales.
We also provide 17 PTO days plus 7 paid holidays, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, ongoing safety incentives, career advancement opportunities and annual performance reviews, uniforms provided, $2,500 employee referral program, year-round medical coverage available as well as 401k with company match, propane discount year-round, paid holidays and paid vacation.
