Position Summary
We are in search of a committed and safety-oriented individual to fulfill the role of Plant Process Operator at our manufacturing facility. This position entails ensuring the secure, efficient, and dependable operation of all plant machinery while strictly following established protocols and maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Compliance: Execute all responsibilities in full compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Manage hazardous materials and waste in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Operational Proficiency: Operate process machinery in line with training resources and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Leverage mechanical skills to oversee piping and equipment in your designated area.
  • Training and Documentation: Create training resources and SOPs for operational tasks. Keep precise records of equipment and process activities.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Prepare machinery for maintenance in accordance with SOPs and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols. Exhibit basic maintenance capabilities and resolve equipment issues.
  • Startup and Shutdown: Safely initiate and terminate process machinery operations. Control plant equipment from a centralized monitoring station.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards of quality when managing finished products. Apply lean methodologies to foster continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with engineering, construction, and EPC teams to finalize equipment designs and conduct 3D model assessments. Represent the operations team during HAZOP evaluations.
  • Safety and Environmental Awareness: Maintain a heightened awareness of safety, environmental, and quality issues. Certify as a member of the plant emergency response team.
  • Housekeeping: Adhere to rigorous housekeeping standards within the facility.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Experience operating mobile equipment, such as forklifts and heavy machinery.
  • Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for the safe handling of hazardous substances.
  • Lockout/Tagout experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in monitoring and managing process equipment in accordance with SOPs.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Ability to operate and comprehend SCADA systems.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Must pass a respirator fit test and be capable of wearing respiratory protection regularly.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Lift items up to 50 lbs with assistance from lifting equipment and carts.
  • Ability to move long distances and remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Reach for items on low shelves or the floor.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces.
  • Climb stairs or navigate over containment barriers.
  • Perform precise and repetitive handling of various material quantities.
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment in a fixed location.

Work Schedule: Regular shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Compensation: The starting base pay for this position ranges from $25 to $32 per hour, depending on factors such as education, experience, and skills. This role may also qualify for overtime.
