The Care Partner collaborates harmoniously and respectfully with residents, colleagues, families, visitors, and volunteers to foster a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere within the community. This role involves addressing the physical, social, and environmental needs of residents in accordance with facility policies, quality improvement standards, and relevant regulations at local, state, and federal levels. The STNA Care Partner actively encourages residents to engage in everyday activities and strives to enhance or sustain their functional abilities. As a participant in resident-centered care and team-oriented management, the Care Partner is integral to daily life activities within their designated household(s).

Working in a long-term care setting can present various stresses, including shift changes, weekend and holiday duties, and the emotional responses of families dealing with the care of loved ones.

Ability to move freely within the facility.

Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

Regularly required.
Stooping/Bending:
Regularly required.

In accordance with ADA guidelines, reasonable accommodations will be provided for staff unable to perform essential job functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Must be a State Tested Nursing Assistant in Ohio, listed on the registry or eligible for testing; training in food safety, housekeeping practices, restorative nursing, and resident activities is required. Must be free from illegal drug use and the effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
