Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis at Providence Saint John's Health Center. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and immobilization.
  • Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, and nuclear medicine cameras.
  • Develop and process radiographs, including X-rays and CT scans.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures and results.
  • Float to various departments and modalities as needed, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and imaging results.

Requirements

  • 1 year recent experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • AHA BLS certification.
  • ARRT (R) or NMTCB certification, with nuclear medicine specialty.
  • Epic experience required.
  • Ability to float to various departments and modalities as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

  • 8 and 10 hour shifts available.
  • Daily caseload: 8.
  • Unit: Outpatient, inpatient, OR room, ER.

Additional Information

  • Charting system: Epic.
  • 3-month separation.
  • Experience with 1 of the following: GE, Hitachi, Phillips, Siemens, or Toshiba required.
  • Experience with storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials, IV Starts, HIDA scan required.
  • Cardiac stress testing, Lung scan, Bone scan, Thyroid scan, Uptake, Computerized documentation experience required.
  • Isolation precautions awareness required.
  • Candidate is responsible for completing up to 10 hours of Providence and specialty-specific modules, independently, before being cleared to work.
  • Parking fee of $2.75.
