ENT Clinic RPN

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated RPN to join our team at Unity Health Toronto's ENT Clinic. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of nursing practice excellence.
Responsibilities:- Provide holistic, evidence-based, culturally appropriate, patient-centred quality care in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards and Unity Health Toronto's mission, vision, values, and policies.
- Optimize the patient's experience and care outcomes by being accountable for one's decisions and professional practice, establishing a therapeutic relationship with the patient, and collaborating with other members of the patient's care team.
- Develop and implement a plan of care that integrates nursing activities with other inter-professional activities, and continuously gather and analyze clinical and other relevant data to evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care and adjust it as needed.
- Collaborate with appropriate team members on patient care needs, process orders and seek verification of orders from prescribers, and document observations, assessments, and care provision in a timely manner to facilitate a current and accurate record of the patient's status and enable effective inter-professional communication.
- Contribute to discharge and transition planning and other planning activities to facilitate care continuity and coordination, and advocate for care needs to be met in the most appropriate setting.
- Successful completion of a Practical Nursing Diploma Program.
- Current Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario (General or Temporary Class).
- BLS Certification required.
- Must have worked as an RPN on a Medical/Surgical, Endoscopy, or similar unit within the last year.
- Experience working in an ENT clinic is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professions/disciplines in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Proven planning, time management, organization, and coordination skills.
