Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our donation center, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while receiving donated items, issuing receipts, and assisting with loading donations for transport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close the donation center, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for donors.
  • Greet each donor with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Respectfully receive donations, issue receipts, and assist donors with lifting items in and out of their vehicles.
  • Sort donations in accordance with Goodwill Industries of Central Florida's policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist in loading GICF trucks with donated items as needed.

Physical and Environmental Work Conditions

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Perform work outside and inside, exposing to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Work in a moderate noise level environment.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.
