OVERVIEW

Activate Games is a premier interactive entertainment venue seeking to enhance our leadership team with a dedicated Operations Director. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Assistant Manager and Game Facilitators. We are looking for an individual who possesses exceptional customer service abilities, thrives in both collaborative and independent settings, and has a passion for technology and gaming.

This is a full-time, permanent role with flexible working hours to accommodate the dynamic needs of our business. The schedule will include a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development
  • Manage daily operations while effectively communicating company objectives.
  • Assist in crafting and executing strategies aimed at business expansion and internal staff engagement.
  • Enhance brand visibility and drive sales through community events and targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Engage with customers via email and phone to address inquiries and feedback.
  • Participate in various business meetings focused on training, skill enhancement, and company strategies.
Customer Relations
  • Facilitate customer check-ins, process payments, and mentor team members to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Coordinate shift schedules to foster meaningful customer interactions during their gaming experiences.
  • Create memorable customer experiences through a positive and energetic demeanor.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction and maintain it as a core focus.
  • Proactively greet and engage with all guests.
  • Collect and relay customer feedback for potential improvements in service and operations.
Staff Management
  • Organize staffing schedules to ensure optimal coverage during peak times.
  • Lead recruitment efforts and develop a talent pipeline for various roles.
  • Supervise staff, providing both formal and informal coaching.
  • Design development plans for team members to foster professional growth.
  • Assist in training and evaluating both new hires and existing employees.
  • Conduct training sessions and performance evaluations to support staff development.
Facility Maintenance
  • Ensure that gaming facilities operate at peak performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of front desk and gaming areas.
  • Complete weekly and monthly checklists to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Communicate any areas needing attention to the relevant departments.
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in line with company standards.
  • Oversee and manage all activities related to the front desk and gaming areas.
