Position Summary:

Presbyterian is in search of a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our Cath Lab team.

The CVL Recovery Room Nurse is responsible for caring for patients recovering from anesthesia post-surgery. This role involves monitoring vital signs, assessing consciousness levels, and observing patients for any adverse reactions to anesthesia.

Preoperative Nurses assist patients before surgery by completing necessary documentation and addressing any concerns or anxieties regarding the procedure.

PACU and Preoperative Nurses are tasked with applying the nursing process to deliver direct patient care to a designated group during their shift. They prioritize nursing care delivery by efficiently utilizing time and resources within a standards-based framework.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum Associate Degree
Preferred: Degree from an accredited nursing program
Specialization: Nursing
Credentials: Registered Nurse-NM
State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
Academic Preparation: BLS certification is REQUIRED upon hire.
Additional certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS as applicable to various departments.
