Candidates must adhere to the 75-mile straight line radius rule, and local travelers are not eligible for this position. It is essential that candidates are aware of their submission to our facility and refrain from contacting the facility directly. An active New Mexico or compact nursing license is required. Any requests for time off must be disclosed during the initial submission for consideration; requests made after acceptance will not be accommodated.

A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an 18+ bed telemetry or progressive care unit is required. Candidates should be team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced setting. Previous completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is necessary. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, which must be obtained through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or the American Red Cross. Travelers must successfully pass the BCA testing during their first week of assignment; failure to do so will result in dismissal.

Shifts will primarily be in the Emergency Department, caring for Progressive Care level patients awaiting inpatient beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios will align with typical inpatient units, and staff may be required to float to other departments as needed. On-call and holiday shifts may be part of the schedule. Travelers will be the first to float within the facility and may be assigned to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of their permanent assignment, including areas for appropriate patient care.

Orientation will occur during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 total hours, and will include training on the EPIC EMR system. Please note that scrubs are required and will not be provided by the facility.

Nurse Hustle Job ID # Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
