Sorbent Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sorbent Developer to join our team at HealthBegins. As a key member of our research and development department, you will play a critical role in advancing our Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology by designing, synthesizing, and optimizing innovative sorbent materials.
About the Job:
- Design and synthesize novel sorbent materials for CO2 capture from ambient air.
- Optimize sorbent properties to improve adsorption capacity, selectivity, and regeneration efficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive characterization of sorbents using advanced techniques such as BET, TGA, FTIR, DSC, DVS, and breakthrough testing.
- Test sorbent performance in lab-scale systems and analyze results to assess effectiveness, stability, and longevity under various conditions.
- Analyze experimental data to draw insights and provide recommendations for further development.
About You:
- Masters degree or Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional working experience in sorbent development, characterization, and testing, preferably in CO2 capture from the atmosphere or point sources.
- Strong background in material synthesis, surface chemistry, method development, experimental design, and adsorption processes.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques such as BET, TGA, FTIR, DSC, DVS, and related methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
