Grade V Billing Specialist

St. Clair County Community Mental Health is seeking a skilled Billing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing support services to Administration and Operations, ensuring compliance with pertinent rules and regulations, and maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support services to Administration and Operations
- Ensure compliance with pertinent rules and regulations
- Maintain confidentiality
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Michigan Driver's license
- Certification as a Certified Professional Biller (CPB)
- At least 3 years experience with reimbursement, billing requirements, and insurance contracts
- Experience with electronic health records, specifically billing claims, general coding, and medical documentation
- Associate's degree or relevant schooling
- Medical Billing program participation
- Proficient in Agency operating systems and application software
- Experience in the Public Mental Health Field or Related Field
- Knowledge of Community Mental Health Treatment Programs and Relevant Policies
The majority of time requires considerable effort, either mental or physical. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:Good light and ventilation; reasonable quiet.
